Four generations times four!

So, we were able to have all of my grandparents over to our new house! It was great to have them here and know that I am so blessed to have all of them still alive. I think this picture will be pretty special to my girls...to have all four of your great-grandparents...pretty awesome! I love them very much and hope to have them around for many more years to come!

Finally...Hawaii...

So, here are our Hawaii pictures. We had a wonderful time and are so blessed to be able to go and visit family and friends over there. It really is an amazing place. This first picture is of the family (minus Felipe) after Lia's blessing. It was really important for me to include as much of our immediate family in Lia's adoption and process as possible and because Flavio's family was not able to attend the sealing, we had Lia blessed in Hawaii. Plus, I think Lia will think it is cool that she was blessed there as well. The blessing was beautiful.
These next two pictures are of my favorite beach in Hawaii, Waimea Beach. As you can see, even though there are other people there...you would never know it...the North Shore in Oahu are the best beaches in all of Hawaii and I have been to all the islands. The BEST!
This picture is of our amazing view from our hotel room. It was so beautiful there.

Our hotel had a great pool, and even though we love the beach...the pool is so much cleaner...no sand, salt...you know.

We went to Planet Hollywood...

Only in Hawaii: A Gecko landed on our windshield while we were driving to the airport...he finally flew off...it was crazy.

Flavio and I were able to go to Maui for a couple of days by ourselves...thanks again Martins...we decided to do a few things and one of them was take a submarine tour. It was awesome! As you can see, we saw a shark, a sunken ship and tons of fish. We went almost 130 feet under the water! Way cool.

So, in Maui we decided to take Rachel Ray's advise on cheaper restaurants...it was awesome...all the places we went that she recommended tasted great and cost at least 50% less than the dumb hotel restaurants.

So, I am pretty proud of these two pictures. We took the road to Hana while we were in Maui and it was beautiful. The lower picture is the opening scene for Jurassic Park...Flavio loves that movie, so I tried to get a neat shot of it.

Here we are with some of the family. We had a really great time with Flavio's family and wished we could go visit more often. LOL

On our way back the girls were pretty silly. We had a red eye so we were hoping that they would both sleep. At first, no luck, but then Hannah fell asleep and slept like this the whole way back...pretty funny. I just wish Lia would have followed her big sister's example...let's just say I was really tired when we got back...and so was Lia.

We love Hawaii, it will always be our second home, as that is where we met. We had a lot of fun and like I said hope to be able to go back...when our girls can remember it. :)

Climbing Stairs and NASCAR

So, Lia climbed the stairs...all the way to the top before we even noticed. Thank goodness she didn't fall, but we bought a new gate the next day! I can't believe she is getting so big.

Okay, so DigiCert (Flavio's work) took us to the Miller Sports Park this last Saturday. I have to admit, NASCAR is not my thing...but now it could easily become one of my favorite sports. We had a lot of fun and the race was so exciting! We were able to sit in a suite, which gave us an amazing view of all the pits and pit crews. We saw them changing tires, filling the gas tanks and fixing engines. They were amazing! We also had our own little go kart race and Flavio's team won. We had a great day! Thank you DigiCert!

Jeff was trying to kiss Flavio...and Flavio was having nothing to do with it...what a cute couple.

So, Flavio and his his counselors were released from the bishopric yesterday. This was truly a bitter-sweet day, as it is hard to make such a drastic change in our lives, yet we know that the new bishopric will be all that the 10th ward will need. We are once again, very grateful to all of our wonderful friends in Eagle Mountain and we hope to stay in touch for many years to come. Here are some pictures of the "old" young bishopric...I feel it captures who they really are at heart :)

So, I took advantage of the great background Hawaii has to offer and took a family picture along with some of the girls. I love how they turned out. We had so much fun in Hawaii and with Flavio's family. I just wish it wasn't so far, so we could go there more often. I will try to get some other pictures from our trip up...as soon as I feel my house is in livable order. :)

This is our family room. The house is very open and has a lot of great light. We were very blessed to be able to get this house...it was just a matter of timing. We are just trying to get used to being in a new place...it feels a little like we are on vacation...although we are working really hard. It always takes awhile to feel comfortable in a new place :) Miss you all!

So, some of you may know that we are moving this week. I wanted to take some time to say "thank you". This decision of moving was not an easy one, but we know it is right for us at this time. I want to say thank you to all of our wonderful friends here in Eagle Mountain, who have made it hard to leave, meaning, our next neighborhood will have big shoes to fill. We have loved so many of you and will always be grateful for our time out here in Eagle Mountain. We are not moving far, but we do understand how it works...even those of us who have been in ward splits have seemed to drift apart.... We hope to stay close to as many of you as we can. Our home will always be open to you. I am grateful for mediums like "facebook" and the ability we have to share our lives on our blogs. I hope that we can all stay in touch in some way. We love you and we will continue to pray for you. You are and will always be an important part of our lives. With much love and thanks.
